Pretty, Pretty

One of my most favorite websites is One Pretty Thing.  Rachel features all sorts of different subjects, like kid projects, various craft tutorials, flickr roundup even some crafty reading to start your own business.  One of her features is a DIY Wedding Roundup.  I love to look at these wedding pictures and try to file away notes for ideas I may be able to translate for a birthday.  Lucky for me, my friend Emily has recently become engaged (Hi Em! Congratulations).  She's lucky too, because I get to send her fun links!  Take a look at this photo shoot styled for Style Me Pretty. Craft Night Out

Yay for Craft Night!  We had a great time making our posterized print canvas!  After my test run I was very unsure as to how this would turn out.  How sweet of my friends to actually show up and invest their time in something that may or may not work out.  Luckily, all projects survived but one.  But tomorrow is a new day, and we'll start over on that one!  I mentioned in an email that I like dips - and don't you know the dips just rolled in!  Next time, I could forgo the craft and just have a night out with girls and dips - it was fun!

Lo, one assume I only think Of MY birthday around here. I picked
these up for son #2, his birthday's only 9 months away and I couldn't
pass them up, they were a steal at 75% off! And that previous
sentence was of the run-on persuasion!

Now that's out of the way, let's get back to my birthday. Do you
think Peking could bag up some of their bar ice? What? Sonic does,
only if you ask nicely! That would be such an awesome present.

Celebrating a lil late

So Pi (as in 3.14...) day was last month, but it's April and I'm still celebrating. There's a fast food place that sells chocolate pie and boy, oh boy, is it good! I was in Dollar Tree (surprise!) and in the freezer section (again, surprise!) was the same pie! Different brand, same pie. I ate one yesterday and lookie what I ate for lunch. This is not conducive to bathing suit season. Restraints may be needed…

Crafting Gone Wrong

I bought all the needed stuff for our craft night and decided I should give the craft of choice a try before the actual craft night.  And guess what???  It turned out awful!!!  See above picture.  But I learned a lot.  For example, it helps if you let the project dry completely through all the steps.  Hmm. What an idea, I guess we'll try it a week from tomorrow!  Can't wait to see you all!

To Party or Not, that is the question...

So my twenties are coming to an end.  I'm vacillating between celebration options.  At first, I was rooting for an out of town trip, but then, BUT THEN, I saw these amazing invitations and then a party theme just came to me!  A Blue Moon Beer and Birthday Party! Yes, I love that idea.  I love beer and I love birthdays - a perfect fit!  Looks like fun.  Looks like I just made my decision!
